The Slowear Store just debuted on the US market with its 25th store worldwide and the very first one in New York City. The event was celebrated last night with a crowded grand opening party hosted by the group’s President Roberto Compagno along with L’Uomo Vogue’s Editor in Chief Ms. Franca Sozzani.

Perfectly in step with the ‘slow shopping experience’ concept, the first Slowear Store in New York City is a place conceived to allow customers to discover the collections from the group’s brands Incotex, Montedoro, Zanone, and Glanshirt surrounded by beauty, thanks to the project’s many refereces to iconic architecture and design masters.

Developed by architect Carlo Donati, the project features the same atmosphere of the other 24 Slowear stores yet with a slightly different layout where the thin line between fashion and interior design seems to fade.
Sophisticated design pieces including a 1940s working table stand out against a floor of Italian cement tiles with a 1970s design, under a ceiling of perfecty restored classic New Yok tin tiles.

A backlit displaying wall acts as a scenic wing for the lounge area, a must in every Slowear Store; here, customers are welcome to sit back, relax and have an espresso or a glass of Prosecco while listening to vinyl records or simply taking some time for themselves.
