Slowear comes to Vienna

Introducing our brand new Viennese boutique designed by Carlo Donati Studio

  • Slowear comes to Vienna

Housed inside a historic building in the center of the city – the address is 9, Weihburggasse -  the new Slowear Store in Vienna designed by Carlo Donati Studio combines the concept and the identity of the brand with the typical Viennese atmosphere of the context.

Starting from the shop window, a restored version of the original one with a ‘Verde Alpi’ marble platform and a burnished brass door. The sign is hand painted, according to the Viennese shop front tradition.

The warm and welcoming 80-square-meter interior features the signature homey flavour of all Slowear Stores, with parquet floorings, custom furniture inspired by the works of Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand, and an accurate selection of vintage pieces from 1940s and 1950s Italian and Scandinavian design.

The louge area, a pleasant corner furnished with two armchairs, a coffee table and a custom-made bookshelf, is a chill-out space devoted to all customers willing to have a cup of coffee, drink a glass of Prosecco, or simply sif through a book and listen to a couple of rare vinyls from our private collection.

In the middle of the store sits the shaped profile display table, designed by Studio Donati and inspired by 1950s counters, whereas the central pillar has been covered in ribbed wood finish with a clear reference to high-quality Italian postwar design.
